Hollywood Movies Reviews of the Most enjoyable Marvel film- Spider-man: Homecoming By Nitika Sethi Posted on 2 weeks ago Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Spider-Man: Homecoming is a 2017 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios. It is the second reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise and the sixteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Jon Watts, with a screenplay by the writing teams of Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, Watts and Christopher Ford, and Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. The film stars Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Tyne Daly, Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. The hint of releasing this amazing movie was given before in Captain America: Civil War, where the character was introduced in airport battle scene. Coming to the plot of the movie, in this movie Peter Parker(Tom Holland) is a 15-year-old boy who received spider-like abilities after being bitten by a genetically modified spider. Peter Parker is drafted into the Avengers by Stark to help with an internal dispute but resumes his studies afterward when Stark tells him he is not yet ready to become a full Avenger. Parker quits Midtown School of Science and Technology’s academic decathlon team so he can spend more time focusing on “the Stark internship”, which is a cover for his crime-fighting activities as Spider-Man. Tony Stark(Robert Downey Jr.) gave a spider suit to Peter through which he could easily track all his activities. Now coming to the other side i.e. the villain. The role of villain is played by Michael Keaton as Adrian Toomes/Vulture. A salvager turned arms trafficker after his company is forced out of business. He possesses a suit consisting of mechanical wings forged from Chitauri technology. Director Jon Watts said Toomes would be more of a “regular guy” than other MCU villains like Thanos and Ultron, to go with Spider-Man as a “regular kid who becomes a superhero”. Keaton called Toomes “interesting to play” and not completely villainous, saying “there are parts of him that you go, ‘You know what? I might see his point.”Co-producer Eric Hauserman Carroll likened Toomes to “the dark Tony Stark”, a “businessman with a family. He wants to look out for his kids.” Spider-Man: Homecoming premiered in Hollywood on June 28, 2017, and was released in the United States on July 7, 2017, in 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D. Homecoming has grossed over $75 million worldwide, and received critical acclaim, with critics praising Holland and the other cast’s performances, the light tone, and the action sequences. On the whole, the hype is good for the Spider-man Homecoming. It works both as a high school comedy and strong standalone superhero movie. Everyone is loving it.
