Although the name of the next premium handset has not been confirmed yet, it is pegged that the device will be termed as Moto X (2017) edition. The Moto X (2017) edition is making noise for some time and people have already started talking about the expected features and specifications of the smartphone. Although Lenovo has been completely tight-lipped about the upcoming smartphone, one thing is for sure that the handset will be an upgraded version of the already launched Moto X (2016) model. However, world famous gadget leakster, Ronald Quandt has revealed some specifications of the Moto X (2017) on his Twitter account to give a brief idea about the upcoming smartphone. Quandt’s tweet reads as, “Motorola Moto “X 2017” XT180x codename “Sanders”: Snapdragon 625, 3/4GB RAM, 32/64GB ROM. 13MP camera (don’t know if second cam sensor same).” Motorola Moto "X 2017" XT180x codename "Sanders": Snapdragon 625, 3/4GB RAM, 32/64GB ROM. 13MP camera (don't know if second cam sensor same) — Roland Quandt (@rquandt) April 2, 2017 So, if we believe the renowned leakster, the Moto X (2017) edition, also codenamed as “Sanders”, is expected to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC and is rumored to come in two variants, depending on their RAM and internal storage capacity. The basic model of the Moto X (2017) edition may come with 3GB RAM coupled with 32 GB internal storage capacity, whereas the premium model may feature 4GB RAM paired with 64 GB of internal storage. We are not sure whether the internal storage can be further expanded through the microSD card slot or not, but given the prior history of the Motorola smartphones, this feature should be included in the handset. Quandt also has provided us with a rough idea of the rear camera of the upcoming Moto X (2017) edition, and according to him, the smartphone is going to sport a 13-megapixel camera. Although he is not sure about the front camera of the handset. Apart from Quandt’s tweet, a new press render has suggested that the smartphone will be available in only golden color and the oblong-shaped physical home button will be placed right below the display. Design wise, the Moto X (2017) edition will look alike Moto G5 and G5 Plus. Although the company has not spilled the bin about the release date of the Moto X (2017) edition, rumor is the Chinese manufacturers are going to launch the handset soon.
