The PM today invoked the success of the Indian Space Research Organisation or ISRO, which successfully launched 104 miniature artificial satellites in orbit a day ago. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi also sought to find fault with the SP-Congress combine as he spoke of how the Congress had, in 1984, allegedly sought to kill Mulayam Singh Yadav, the SP patriarch and the father of Akhilesh Yadav, the reigning CM of Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi invoked the success of the ISRO in UP today Campaigning for phase three of the UP Elections 2017 is to end tomorrow evening. The PM launched blistering attacks on its political opponents, including the BSP, the SP and the Congress, and said that only the BJP could bring about development in the state. PM Modi made the statements in HArdoi in UP at an election rally. The Samajwadi Party and the Congress party had announced their alliance in a stated position to defeat the BJP. PM Modi also attacked the UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, saying that he had tied up with the party which had tried to kill his father. He stated that the younger Yadav should have thought of the attack on Mulayam Singh Yadav on March 4, 1984, before he decided to sit on the Congress party’s lap. On that date, Mulayam Singh Yadav had escaped an attack, which the PM said was engineered by the Congress party, while in a car from Mainpuri in Delhi to Etawah. Mulayam Yadav was shot at and a Congress leader was blamed for the attack. The reference was to the fact that the VP of the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, and the SP’s young Turk Akhilesh Yadav, had been seen in each other’s company multiple times before the alliance was declared. Banking On ISRO’s Success The PM also referred to the successful operation carried out by ISRO, in association with Antrix Foundation, its commercial venture arm. He mentioned that the operation was widely lauded over the world. The PM also said that the BJP’s electoral fortunes were at an all-time high. The ISRO operation has firmly placed India on the global map and is a world record. Modi also accused the BSP, the SP and the Congress of not thinking about the development of the Hindi heartland in all the years they were in power. He tried to portray the BJP as the only party which had a roadmap of the development of the state. He also flayed the law and order situation in the state, accusing the SP of promoting lawlessness.
