Following Windows 10’s release, Microsoft allowed upgrades that could be obtained at no charge for devices with a genuine license for an eligible edition of Windows 7 or 8.1. Windows 10 currently operates on 400 million active devices and has an estimated usage share of 24.43%, on traditional PCs and 12.08% across all platforms (PC, mobile, tablet, and console). With Windows 10, Microsoft introduced what is called “universal apps”; expanding on Metro-style apps, these apps can be designed to run across multiple Microsoft product families with nearly identical code‍—‌including PCs, tablets, smartphones, embedded systems, Xbox One, Surface Hub and Windows Holographic. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with Windows 11.

Windows 11 Release Date

The free upgrade to Windows 10 ended back in July and since then fans have been eager to know when the next OS is coming out. The demand is so high that even the slightest news creates a sensation. Microsoft is presently using an update strategy, but most fans just want to see bigger offering from Microsoft in the form of next Windows. As far as we’ve heard, Microsoft is not interested in a big project at the moment. But we’ve also heard of a new big Microsoft update coming up next year. It’s code-named Redstone.

Currently, Microsoft has more than 200 million people have used Windows 10. And although a lot of people are more inclined towards Windows 11, the present OS has been hugely successful. But official news has come from the Microsoft office that says Windows 10 will be the last Windows operating system and there will be no Windows 11. “Right now we’re releasing Windows 10, and because Windows 10 is the last version of Windows, we’re all still working on Windows 10,” said Jerry Nixon, Microsoft’s developer evangelist, at the Ignite tech conference. Since the tech world was piling up rumours of Windows 11 release date, Microsoft decided to announce and share it publicly that they are not into making any new Windows.

Steve Kleynhans, an official authority of Microsoft, has also confirmed there will be no more Windows. “There will be no Windows 11,” he warned, “Every three years or so Microsoft would sit down and create ‘the next great OS’,” he said. “The developers would be locked away and out would pop a product based on what the world wanted three years ago.”

Windows 11 Concept:

Even though Microsoft has officially said no to Windows 11, it hasn’t stopped fans from coming up with ideas and designing Windows 11 concept. Below is the Microsoft Lumia 965 concept which comes in four colours Silver, Gold, Green and Orange and also a desktop concept.

Windows 11 Features:

To recall, we told you about rumours of the next Windows OS coming out later this year. Along the same line of rumours there several Wishlist 11 features or wishlist doing the rounds. We’ve collected them here.

Direct Login To The Desktop

It is irritating to have to click on the desktop icon every time for displaying the applications. That is why people are demanding that window 11 should come with the option of disable or enable this feature. By disabling the feature one can directly log in to the desktop, without having to click on anything.

Quicker Access to Power

It’s pretty difficult to access the power button or so to speak, or any of the restarts, sleep mode, shut down buttons. There should an easier and quicker access to the Power button in the Windows 11. As far as we’ve seen, people are also recommended that it should be included in the user picture given in start screen.

Custom Colour and Font Option

We’ve missed this feature in the new Windows OS and would like it to return. If Windows 11 ever comes out, then people would like to custom colour and choose the font size, so that users can make adjustments according to their likings.

Wrap up:

Windows 11 or no Windows 11, last year a Microsoft spokesman said: “Recent comments at Ignite about Windows 10 are reflective of the way Windows will be delivered as a service bringing innovations and updates in an ongoing manner, with continuous value for our consumer and business customers.”

While the quick and easy way of changing custom color and fonts has been taken away, there is still a way you can change them.

WARNING: Changing registry settings can really mess up your computer. I, nor this website are responsible if you break your computer.

With that being said, registry values at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\Colors, and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics can be modified to change the font and colors of your Windows user profile.

The technology world is changing every second. To say that there will be no Windows 11 or Windows 10 is the final OS for Microsoft is just a lie. They did so just to get more users for Windows 10 rather than people waiting for Windows 11. How gullible can people be in this modern era!
